Letters to Santa & Visiting the Big Man himself :)

For Family Night last week we wrote letters to Santa (you see, Santa needs plenty of time to get the toys ready, and once you write your letter you can't change your mind :). The kids were SO excited about them, they took them out to the mailbox FIRST THING when they woke up the next morning! :)

They just can't wait to hear back from him!

My friend Janette and I happened to be at the mall the other morning with our kids when we noticed that Santa was there - and there was NO line to see him! Now, I am totally opposed to pulling out the tree and lights and anything Christmas-related until after Thanksgiving, but the opportunity was too good to pass up, especially since we had already sent out our letters, and I knew I wouldn't wait in line for the kids to see him later, so I caved.

The kids loved seeing Santa, and Mason even willingly sat on his lap this year (this has been a major issue in the past, he HATES any type of dressed-up characters, even princesses!)

McKinley and Mason both told Santa exactly what they want this year (McKinley wants a Hannah Montana wig, and Mason wants a train that goes on the ground and runs by itself :). I think it's so funny when they come up with what they want on their own, too cute! We'll have to see what Santa comes up with!
