Okay, does anyone have any suggestions? Mason (who will be 2 in August) will NOT wear diapers! He takes them off every five minutes! I have tried putting a onesie on, he can get that unsnapped and still take his diaper off. He can take off pants, shorts, one-piece zip-up pj's, you name it! He takes the diaper off, goes and sits on the potty, doesn't put it back on, then pees (or worse) in random places in the house - all within about 5 minutes every time I turn my back (and during nap-time when I don't know about it, gross)! I am out of ideas. HELP! I don't think it's time for potty training yet, he really doesn't get it, he just sits on the potty because he sees Kinley do it, he says 'Pee-pee' while he's on it, and sometimes goes (by accident), but he doesn't get the run to the potty BEFORE you pee on the floor idea. I am going crazy here! PLEASE give me any suggestions that you may have. For now, we are going grocery shopping and duct-tape is on my list - this is what I have resorted to. The attached photo is Mason's attempt to put his diaper back on - after I threatened him for the 100th time (today) NOT to take it off!

Diaper Dilemmas

You crack me up! One of my boys did this a few times. Try overalls. BTW, holy posts! Your blog is really cute.... you are a fun mom!
Two words...Duct Tape!
I've heard of putting one piece jammies on backwards (so the zipper is in the back) You might have to cut the feet out but I think it works! BTW I am julie baumgartners sister and was just peeking at your page . . . hope you don't mind!
Hum....good question. Maybe put him on the potty every 30 minutes so that he really doens't have a choice but to do in it. But, he's still young so I don't know :-( Maybe he really is ready to potty train :-) What do I know though...being a first time mom I really have no idea what I am talking about :-) Duct tape sounds like a good idea too :-)
I'll be honest he might be one of those phenoms that's just ready he just needs a little training. Don't know if you ever tried the book but a day worth of that might help. I know it's a pain, but seriously it can't be worse than running around cleaning up accidents all over the place. I really don't think Kenlie was ready when we trained her but she learned the steps and at least made it 3/4 of the time, until she was ready. On the other hand, he is probably doing is just for attention, whether it be negaitve or positive. When Afton was throwing up a ton and my doctor thought it was attention seeking she said not to freak out or even act like it happened, just clean it up and ignore it as much as you can and sooner or later she'll realize it's not working and she'll try something else.I think the jammies on backwards is a great idea too. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE!! So sorry for you. By the way holy posts. I haven't even had time to comment on the hot swimming suit on your vacation and you've already posted 10 more. I'm excited to do the post merely for the sake of seeing what Kenlie says. Hope you had a happy 4th. Sorry for the butt long comment.
