Although McKinley and Mason LOVE to play together, the older they get the more apparent it is that boys and girls play very differently. Today we had a WONDERFULLY relaxing day, we didn't even leave the house! McKinley begged me all day yesterday to play dollhouse with her, but I never had time (I hate that!). Today (the minute she got out of bed) she asked me to play dollhouse again and I said "sure!". We played all morning, Mason played with us until he got bored and went to play with his train. I took turns playing trains and dollhouse until lunchtime. I need days like this for my kids to know that I enjoy spending time with them, and for me to just play and take time to notice all of the funny things that they do. They are growing up too fast! The best part of this morning is that we all stayed in our PJ's all day! Now THAT's living!

It cracks me up that McKinley is always wearing her princess dresses. I think life would be so much fun if we all could wear princess dresses!
You are good to just sit down and play with your kids. Elli is always asking me to play Polly Pockets with her and Carter to play trucks. I always say I am too busy maybe later. I need to learn to get my priorities straight and not worry so much about other things. This is one of my biggest challenges. I lay in bed at night and tell myself to let everything else go and just play with the kids tomorrow. But then it doesn't happen. So anyways! Good for you for just doing it!
Don't worry, that's usually how I am, that's how life goes. That's why I had to write it down so I will remember that I did spend one whole morning just playing :)
